Gilas Pilipinas in FIBA Basketball 2014

As per the game result today 73-77 lost to Puerto Rico our team is no change to enter in the next round of competition. This is very sad day to our national team who compete very well in the world of basketball.

Puerto Rico have two NBA player both point guard Carlos Arroyo (Former Miami Heat) and Jose Barea (Timberwolves). Renaldo Balkman is also a NBA in New York Knick last 2012 and played also as import of Petron Blaze somewhere in 2013. We are trying to match this two NBA experience point guard but we failed.

When I watch the game via Live Streaming I tough we will win this match because I saw some determination with our team Gilas specially Andray Blatche who made tremendous job inside and outside the perimeter.

Our game against Senagal will be our last game in the tournament. This is no bearing game because we already lost 4 games. Hope in the next season of FIBA Basketball world cup we have at least 3 big guy like Andray, 2 SF like Norwood 2 big center like Fajardo, a best shooting guard and best point guard.

I salute the effort of our head coach Chot Reyes but we know that we are not much experience and we are one of the small team in the league. Don't loss hope in the next FIBA game we will try to put big and athletic guy in the court.

We especially thanks the effort of the whole management of team Gilas specially the team manager Aboy Castro and the whole management who is controlling the team. Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan the number one supporter of team Gilas.
